EuroCrash · Road information explained

About EuroCrash and our sources

Updated 2 November 2026 · EuroCrash site information

EuroCrash is an independent community road-information project covering European locations.

The service combines a public map, recent community submissions and separately labelled provider information. Its purpose is to help people explore reported road conditions and understand the context of a journey. It is not a road authority, emergency dispatcher or official accident register.

Where information comes from

Waze incident reports, Google incident reports and police-checkpoint feeds are not connected. External Google Maps links open another service and do not import its data.

Publishing and corrections

Rule-based screening can publish eligible text-only reports. These reports are labelled as automatically screened and not independently verified. Reports with media or flagged content require a moderator. Screening looks for some suspicious or unsuitable patterns; it is neither a fact-checking service nor a guarantee that harmful or inaccurate content will be caught.

We distinguish the time of an observation from publication and provider update times. Full reports and photos are designed to expire after five hours, while approved city-history summaries can remain for 24 hours. Expiry does not mean a road has reopened.

Our guides explain site behaviour and practical ways to interpret the information. They are separate from incident reports, do not invent crashes and are not professional driving or emergency advice. To challenge a report, request a correction or raise a privacy concern, use the Contact page.

Advertising

Google ad serving is currently disabled across the site while its content and advertising eligibility are reviewed. An AdSense ownership-verification tag remains in the page source; this tag does not itself load ads. Advertising will require a separate placement and consent review before it is enabled.
